A book of simple questions to ask kids about Christmas in order to get them in the spirit and make them think. Christmas questions is a good book to share with children ages 2-5. Open ended questions such as ‘Can reindeer fly?’ and “Is Christmas music magic?” will open up children’s imaginations and yes or no questions such as “Marshmallows in hot coco?” will help children express their opinions. I wasn’t quite sure about the last question “Christmas or Cristmas?” however, I wasn’t aware there was any different way to spell the holiday. Presented in red, green and white tones with simple pictures, Christmas Questions is a good book to share with children before Christmas.

One day, Wade the young moose notices that his antlers are wiggly. He absolutely does not want to loose his antlers, they are good for so many things! Mom tells Wade that this is just part of growing up, but Wade still wants to keep his antlers as long as possible. So, Wade decides to sit out on all of the fun things that his friends are doing in order to keep his antlers longer. A cute story of growing up and dealing with change. Wade and his antlers are a perfect way to discuss changes that might be happening in young children, like loosing a tooth. Wade handles change like anyone else might and there are a lot of good discussion points to have with children. Overall, Wade decides that change is good and growing up isn't all that bad. I love pretty much anything with a moose, and Wade was adorable as were all of his forest friends. My son is a little too young to appreciate the lesson from this book, but he enjoyed looking at the cute illustrations and we named the animals of the forest. He also enjoyed when I made the trumpeting sounds! This book was provided for free in return for an honest review. How To Eat Your ABC's introduces each letter of the alphabet along with a tasty food to eat. Narrated by BuzzBee, a happy, friendly bee that is a master of rhyming, each plant has a poem that goes along with it. I enjoyed that every food was a plant that you could grow or go and find out in nature. Not all of the plants are common either, so this would be a great way to introduce new foods into your child's diet. For example, 'I' is for Indian Cress and 'U' is for Ugli fruit. I was really wondering what would happen with the letter 'X,' it is done pretty well, but I will leave that for a surprise. My son is a little young for trying all of the foods, but he did enjoy me reading the rhymes as well as the big, bright and simple pictures. It would be an awesome activity to taste all of the foods along with the book! Each poem is long enough that each letter could be done separately on different days. Also, the poems talk not only about the letter of the alphabet, but inform you about the plant itself. Buzzbee is a great choice of narrator since bees are needed to pollinate many of the plants that are talked about; another teaching point that can be integrated into the book.
