Puckster is the stick boy for Canada's National Junior Team. The team will be playing for the Gold Medal at the IIHF World Championships on Christmas morning. Puckster is worried that Santa won't be able to find him at the hotel. When Christmas morning comes around, Puckster finds out that a giant snowstorm has closed the roads and his family and friends may not be able to make it to the game.
This series is aimed toward hockey lovers, and it definitely helps if you know about hockey when reading the book. There are good messages throughout the book even if you do not like hockey- keeping a positive attitude, the importance of family and friends and that Christmas is not just about presents. In the pictures it was nice to see a diverse cast, even though Puckster's team were animals, there was a girl player and a disabled player. Overall, a fun read for young hockey fans.
