Carrot Tiny Wafers

At eleven months old my son is just getting in his two top teeth.  He has been eating solids for a while now, but has taken a strike to vegetables now that they are not in puree form.  So, when I saw these tiny wafers, I thought they would be great to try.  My son was instantly interested in them, the bright colors and new shape and texture helped.  He was able to pick them up easily and had no trouble mashing them with only three teeth.  I'm pretty sure he ate half a box in one sitting.  For some added calories for my skinny boy, I dipped these in some hummus.  I tried one myself, they're pretty good!

I love that these carrot wafers are all organic with an easy list of ingredients such as organic wheat flour, organic carrot puree and organic banana powder.  They are a healthy, lightweight and easy snack for around the house or on the go.  I really like that they offer a convenient way to get vegetables into my tiny human.  They also work well to practice fine motor skills with self-feeding and a great snack for teething little ones.

Apple Tiny Wafers

My son has always loved anything with apple, so I knew these apple tiny wafers from Sweetie Pie Organics would be a hit.  These wafers are a great snack on-the-go when applesauce or apple piece are too much to handle. The wafers are great for little hands and practice for self-feeding.  For a little calorie boost, I add some peanut butter.  Right now, they are wonderful for teething offering a healthy, organic alternative to some other teething treats.

I tried one myself and the apple flavor is not overpowering and there is a bit of cinnamon taste so these are also a good way to open up flavor profiles.  I love that all of the ingredients are organic and things that I know such as organic wheat powder, organic apple juice, and organic cinnamon.

Sweet Beet Tiny Wafers

The sweet beet wafers took a little getting used to.  They definitely have a unique flavor, not bad, but different.  These are a great for introducing different flavors to your child's palate.  We put a little cream cheese on the wafer and they were a huge hit.  Great for teething and learning how to self-feed, the wafer shape is just wonderful.  Light weight and not very messy, these are great for snacking around the house or on the go.

I love that these are certified organic, have a full serving of vegetable and offer a great way to get veggies down my little one without a struggle.  With ingredients such as organic parsnip powder, organic beet juice and organic carrot puree I also know exactly what I am feeding my little one.
