About the Book:
Young Adult Paranormal/Fantasy

Date Published: June 30, 2015

The Terrorian threat of war continues to cast a shadow over the realms within the Library of Illumination system despite the success of 18-year-old Johanna Charette and 17-year-old Jackson Roth at stopping an earlier invasion. Now, a time machine is missing—its errant use creating ripples in the space-time continuum. And if that’s not bad enough, someone, or something, is trying to steal a mystical book of spells and potions left behind by a powerful medieval sorcerer. It’s a formula that could spell disaster for people on thirteen different realms and change their lives forever.

Review:
I absolutely loved the First Chronicles of Illumination and fell in love with the Library where books could come alive.   I was ready to jump back into the Second Chronicles of Illumination right away; the first chronicle is a re-installment of the last book, Portals, so it was easy to get back into the story.  There are two more installments in the Second Chronicles where Joanna and Jackson get to explore other realms and go on adventures outside of the Library. I was very excited for the opportunity to see other realms.  Joanna and Jackson travel to Lumina where they take on larger responsibility for the Library.  It was really interesting to see how things worked in another realm including different technology and politics.  Along with their new adventure, however, comes more trouble from Terroria and Nero 51.  The last book is a magical adventure on behalf of Merlin crossed with the Terrorian’s attempting to wage war. Overall, the Second Chronicles has a little bit of everything-adventure, intrigue, magic, mystery and fun.

Hi there! I'm Stephanie and I obviously love reading.  As, the title suggests, I read at least one hundred pages a day.  I enjoy most book genres; however, my favorites are historical fiction, fantasy, science fiction, thriller, horror and YA.  I also read a lot of non-fiction science and gardening books for my occupation.  I enjoy reviewing books and as always, any book that I receive for free is read in return for my honest review.
