The Fresh Honey Cookbook

Not only a wonderful cookbook, but a good explanation of beekeeping and the importance of bees.  The cookbook utilizes not only recipes with honey, but recipes with ingredients that would not be possible without pollination by bees.

The recipes are organized by month and feature a honey varietal to showcase with the recipes for the month.  There are a lot of creative recipes in the book that I never would have thought of on my own. As a honey lover, I will be utilizing many of the recipes in this book including oven roasted brussels sprouts with garlic, tzimmes, brie in puff pastry, stewed apples, deviled beef bones and baked acorn squash with cranberry honey.  There were also some really fun drinks such as rosemary lemonade with sage honey and sparkling rosemary and melon spritzers!

Well organized, with beautiful pictures and great ideas!

A wonderful guide to planting beautiful fairy gardens.

I enjoyed that it was organized in a way so that it included indoor container gardens and outdoor gardens along with a practical guides to plants to use in each.

There was even a list a what plants meant to the fairies and how fairies used them as well as plants to attract bees and butterflies.
Great pictures of examples fill the book.

Stunning photography of beautiful monarch butterflies fills this book.  I was amazed to see trees just drenched in butterflies as well as brilliant close-ups of wings and mouth parts.  The photography was artfully paired with inspiring quotes about butterflies for a joyful experience.

Towards the end of the book the feat of Monarch migration process is explained with current scientific data in an understandable way.  It is obvious that the author put a lot of time in to understand the complicated ways of Monarch butterfly behavior.  Hopefully this book will help the Monarch butterfly and help people to see that they can also help the Monarch butterfly.

A beautiful collection of macro and close up photography that explores ocean life from a view you would not often see.  These pictures are meant to draw you in, to fuel your sense of wonder and hopefully help you understand that the ocean is something we need to preserve.

Wonderful artwork, natural beauty.  I do wish, however that I knew what species I was looking at!
