Thoughtful and emotional, A Truce That is Not Peace is a vulnerable reflection of the author's life and her relationship with her sister. Focusing on living, the author tells stories non-chronologically and with great honesty. Scattered memories from the author's youth, adolescence, and adulthood tie the author to her sister, her parents, children and grandchildren as she tries to unravel her grief. I like the constant running theme of connecting moments in her life to the different types of wind and her dream of a wind museum.
